Privacy practices for the Afinio Slack app

Afinio provides a standalone Slack app (“Afinio – Decisions for Slack”) that operates inside Slack workspaces where it is installed.

When the app is installed and used, Afinio receives limited data from Slack only to provide the app’s core functionality.

What data we access

• Channel IDs and message content in channels where the app is explicitly added

• Emoji reactions associated with messages in those channels

• User IDs and display names related to messages or reactions

• Workspace and team identifiers required to operate the app

Afinio only processes data from channels where the app is invited.

It does not read direct messages or channels where it has not been added.

How this data is used

The data is used solely to:

• detect and record decisions made in conversations

• generate on-demand and scheduled summaries

• collect user feedback submitted through the app

We do not sell or share Slack workspace data with third parties.

Data retention

Slack-related data is retained only as long as necessary to operate the app and improve its functionality, or as required by law.

User control

Workspace owners or administrators may remove the app at any time.

Slack app usage

Afinio offers an optional Slack app (“Afinio – Decisions for Slack”) that operates within Slack workspaces where it is installed.

• you have the authority to install apps in your Slack workspace, or have obtained the necessary approval;

• you are responsible for how the app is used within your workspace, including which channels it is added to.

Afinio relies on Slack’s platform and APIs to function. We are not responsible for:

• Slack service availability or outages;

• changes to Slack functionality that affect the app;

• content created or shared by users within Slack.

Use of the Slack app is also subject to Slack’s own terms and policies.
